Wathsara Daluwatta
Wathsara Daluwatta is a PhD student in Computer Science at RMIT University, Melbourne, working within the SPINE Research Group under Prof. Ibrahim Khalil and Dr. Mohammad Saidur Rahman. His research centers on Federated Unlearning, with applications in cybersecurity and supply-chain security. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Colombo School of Computing, where he produced an award-winning thesis on graph-based cyber threat intelligence. Wathsara has published multiple papers in leading venues, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal and IEEE Communications Magazine. Before starting his PhD, he worked at WSO2 as a Senior Software Engineer and contributed to SCoRe Lab as a Research Engineer. His achievements include winning major university awards, completing Google Summer of Code 2019, and mentoring GSoC participants across several years. He has also held leadership roles in the ISACA Student Group, organizing cybersecurity-focused events and initiatives
